Welcome to The Ripple Effect
Our Team at Power Living believes in the power of community in a big way and we believe that the shift that is happening right here at the studio can have a major flow on effect. That is why we are starting Ripple Effect.
This new initiative aims to see and acknowledge the people that are doing great things in our community, and in their communities and so on. It aims to flash fund transformational projects that build and shape communities as well as boost projects focusing on positive change. Ripple Effect is a framework for change by administering a micro-grant of $1500 for a different project every month.
These micro-grants can be a catalyst for positive change that will ripple through the minds and hearts of Adelaide in a big way!
Ripple Effect Projects are projects that:
create an impact
build or nurture communities
have a healthy or conscious living focus
have environmental well being at heart
creative projects that are helping to shift the minds
support leaders in change in the community
or support people who are leading the way for positive change to take the next steps towards realising projects further
Projects could include initiatives in a wide range of areas including environment, arts, science, technology, community development, and more.
Who is it for?
Do you know someone that is leading change within their community? Do they need a boost to carry them over the line or take it that little bit further? We are looking for them!
The Ripple Effect is a catalyst for projects of studio members and the broader communities that they are a part of. You don’t need to be a member to receive a grant.
How does it work?
The micro-grants of $1500 are assessed and administered every month and delivered to community members based on their applications, and whether they meet the Ripple Effect Guidelines (above).
A group of 10-20 studio trustees put forward $1000 and our studio contributes the further $500, bringing the total to 1500 worth of change making dollars!
This grant process is designed to be as simple as possible and there are no strings attached to receiving funding. Applications for metropolitan Adelaide and surrounds are preferred, applications for grants from regional projects will be considered.
